The acronym MBA (Master in Business Administration) stands for Master of Business Administration, it is an academic postgraduate degree designed for administrators and executives in the areas of business management and project management. MBA courses are not only about finance, but also about personal development, so that you can become a great leader. In the project management courses, four management principles are discussed, which are planning, organizing, delegating, and controlling. These principles were developed by the French mining engineer Jules Henri Fayol in 1916. but in this article we will only talk about the Planning principles and how to apply them to set and achieve our goals.

Planning Principle — How to implement, advantages and disadvantages.
Planning
“masculine noun.
Act or effect of planning.
Service of preparing a work, a task, with the establishment of convenient methods; planning.”

Planning is subdivided into levels that are strategic planning, tactical planning and operational planning. Strategic planning is primarily applied to long-term goals, using a set of systematic mechanisms of a strategic and methodological process for setting and achieving goals.

Application

One of the two great examples of the use of strategic planning was the creation of the assembly line that was developed by Ransom Eli Olds and perfected by Henry Ford, the assembly line is the result of a strategic plan that involved the application of different components of the engineering team, selection of materials, location of the plant construction, determination of the construction time (start and finish), definition of the amount to invest, whose final objective was to optimize the manufacture of automobiles by reducing the cost and manufacturing time. In personal life, the application of the strategic plan in most cases depends on the resources that will be available and that will directly dictate the duration of the implementation of our plans, in summary I will list the steps I use to achieve the objectives, using the strategic planning I use.

Time

Time is a physical quantity that is directly associated with the correct sequence of occurrence of events depending on their order, time and the events that define it are part of the strategic planning process and it is very important to keep in mind that time is the most important resource and phase to keep in mind, we must know how to manage time during the strategic planning phase and also during execution.

Goal Setting

At this stage we have to write down everything we think, wish, dream, even the gnome (less realistic) side we have to write down. don’t rely on your memory or your emotion when it comes to planning the realization of your dream, which is why you have to write everything down, unless you are Alexander Joseph Mullen.

Filtering

This is the phase of removing all the noise (fantasy) and defining the resources and execution time, in this phase it is important to write everything in baby steps, but in a more realistic way.

Resource definition

At this stage it is very important to think clearly and remove any emotion, think critically, be pessimistic, and create an investment strategy for the resources that are at your disposal within a period of time.

Practical example

After defining the above phases, the next steps are commitment, discipline and determination to work on the achievement. For example, your dream is to learn to play the piano within six months, you have never had contact with the piano or any other musical instrument, and you also don’t have the money to buy the instrument immediately, the solution would be to save up and make a plan in which the timeframe will be determined by your resources.

Time

Learn to play the piano in six months and save money over the next six months.

Setting the goal

Learn to play the piano so I can upload videos on youtube teaching other people to play the piano and make money from youtube, do concerts like Tokio Mayers next year, the time frame may seem unrealistic but I say this from personal experience, of course I didn’t end up making money but I learned to play the piano (not as a professional) in six months.

Filtering

How much does the piano cost, which is the best brand, how much should you save and for how long, what should you do to learn to play in the short term, how much time do you have to invest per hour, daily, weekly and monthly.

The above example was based on one of my experiences when I wanted to be the new Beethoven, and since then I have applied strategic planning for my short and long term goals, even to be in a job position I am at a young age with only 1 year of work experience, I became a project manager/project planner planning and managing projects worth millions of dollars.
